The story of how a young Donald Trump started his real estate business in the 70s and 80s in New York with the help of the infamous lawyer Roy M. Cohn. Roger Stone, a longtime associate of Donald Trump and Roy M. For reasons that are unclear and never explained, Cohn decides to take Trump under his wing, and Trump becomes his “apprentice.” At this point, the movie is less than 10 minutes. A couple of comments: This is the latest film by Iranian director Ali Abbas (“Border”).
It brings about 15 years (1972-1987) of Trump’s life to the big screen
If you’ve been following the politics of this country for the past 9 years, starting with Trump walking down the escalators of Trump Tower to announce his candidacy for president, nothing in the movie will come as a huge surprise, as it simply (re)confirms what we know about Trump. The magic is that they tell it to you like you’re a fly on the wall. Can’t say enough about Sebastien Stan’s amazing performance, whose authenticity leaves you speechless. The rest of the cast is also fantastic, including Jeremy Strong (Cohnina) and up-and-coming Bulgarian actress Maria Bulkova (Ivana).

Kudos also to the filmmakers for recreating 70’s and 80’s New York You won’t be surprised when I mention that Trump and MAGA extremists like the movie (without having seen the movie in person, of course). , and Trump’s lawyers tried everything they could to block the film’s release in the United States, to no avail. The movie currently has a 77% Certified Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and that seems about right to me. The movie opened in US theaters this weekend and I couldn’t wait to see it.
The Saturday matinee showing of this movie at an independent theater in Cincinnati had a good 25-30 people
