Rather, only six hours – all this time I climbed the rocks, ran around the jungle and flew on helicopters over the giant island of Yar, trying to see everything that is interesting there. During this time, many excellent games can go half and even more, but for Far Cry 6 this is just a tiny introductory excursion. Nevertheless, I saw a lot – tell me what.

It is still forbidden to go into the details of the plot, but in general terms I can say that we are waiting for plus or minus the same as in any other far Cry, starting from the third part. Unless this time we play not for a stranger, but for a local resident named Dani Rohas, the floor of which can be selected at the very beginning of the adventure. The main goal is also classical: to escape from a paradise town, which is a genuine hell upon closer examination.
Caribbean state of Yara is under the oppression of the bloody regime. Here, it is normal torture and reprisals with dissenters, and the poor population is driven on tobacco plantations, like slaves. To get out of there, of course, is not easy, and the main character turns to the fighters of resistance for help. Those, in turn, are not averse to replenishing the ranks with fresh blood (well, or cannon meat), and therefore they force the protagonist to run along all kinds of suicidal instructions and slowly draw him into preparation for the revolution.
It was not without the crown chip of the series – the charismatic antagonist with the moron (though, this time puffed out a little). Yara is refueling El President Anton Castillo – dictator and sadist. If you do not breed the excitement around Castillo only because it was played by Jankarlo Esposito, it turns out that this time the villain came out the most common. And this is definitely not the fault of the actor: Esposito played in the series "Breaking Bad" more than a colorful villain – Gustavo Fringe. A cold -blooded drug bacon, disguised as a modest seller of chicken wings, was not inferior in charisma and cruelty to the best antagonists Far Cry. But Anton Castillo is much more like another role of Esposito – Gideon Moff from "Mandalor". This is just an evil and arrogant man with a bunch of power and an army of attack aircraft. It is coolly played and seems quite real, but you expect a completely different villain from Far Cry: a kind of perky meth foil, capable of causing sympathy, despite all your crimes. I would like to believe that further according to the plot of Castillo will open, and a couple of truly intriguing skeletons will be found in its closet.
Glory to the conventions
After a series of introductory, Katsen release us right into the jungle – and immediately I want to exclaim: “Yes, this is a pumped remake of the third part!»Of course, I understand that this can be said about the fourth part, and about the fifth. Ubisoft Stubbornly exploits one and that one successful formula, changing only the surroundings and landscape landscape. But this time even the surroundings are exactly the same as in Far Cry 3: We are on the tropical island again. Moreover, and in one of the first missions, they give us a flamethrower and sent to burn the plantations under a fervent music! Again. This time, however, we burn tobacco, not hemp, but the atmosphere is the same.
And it is worth taking a closer look at how the main character is treated (Dani straightens the dislocated fingers and pulls out the bullets from the hands with tweezers right in battle), and it will be impossible to get rid of the feeling of dejuas. But this feeling, I must say, is pleasant: to whom, and to me these crazy animations of treatment came great in the performance of Jason Brody, and I am glad to return them. For cauterizing the wounds of a cigar – special thanks. First aid in Farcracy is so amusing so that at first you deliberately climb under the bullets, just to see the next superbrutal way of healing.
But not all the iconic features of the third part cause nostalgia – and, fortunately, not everything returned. Ubisoft finally removed the towers of the towers: here, as in the fifth part, their role was taken by the avantists, which now leave a good part of the game time. We need a new point of movement in the region – we capture the outpost. Need information about the side effects nearby – on the outpost. We need resources or free equipment that falls out of chests – well, you understand … In fairness, it is worth saying that it is much more interesting to clean the databases than climbing the same type of metal structures. In Far Cry 6, they are very different: here you are ancient fortresses, and tobacco processing stations, and TV tower. All these objects look quite entertaining and do not cause yawning – at least in the first six hours. But whether the developers of the creative fuse are enough to fill the entire huge fiercore with enemy bases that are not like each other, will become clear only after the release.
Yara consists of three islands divided into five areas, which are refueled by the minions of Castillo. There is no one can see in the screenshot, but there is still a small piece of earth from above – Del Leon Island. Apparently, it was the gigantic size of the island that forced the creators to step even further from realism to make the hero faster, and the journey through the Yar is more comfortable. The novice partisan of Dani, like a VIP person, can cause a “taxi” to any point of the Yara where there are roads. We just open the weapon selector and call the nameless rebel, which will roll our personal car. But by car you can not drive everywhere: the island is full of sheer cliffs, on which you have to jump and climb, as in Kirata. Of course, you can use a hook-cat, but this is too brake gadget. Much cooler – to hide the helicopter that rummages here in the air, like mosquitoes. For this, Dani has an emi-gun that allows you to turn off the equipment. You shoot from it by helicopter, and he delicately falls down, miraculously remaining unharmed. It remains only to shoot the pilot, take the turntable to yourself – and you can get anywhere with the breeze. Except, perhaps, those places that are guarded by anti -aircraft guns.
The desire of the developers to speed up the gameplay as noticeably even in such trifles as the collection. In the fifth part, Ubisoft refused the slow animation animation animations. Here they went even further: the skins of dead deer, cartridges and money from opponents are now gathering automatically. It’s not even necessary to press the “e” key – I just walked along the corpses, and the whole beam in your backpack.
But we can’t choose weapons from enemies now, and this innovation already seems strange: even liberated hostages can collect guns from corpses, but not a protagonist himself. Dani Rohas either receives his trunks from his friends during the mission, or steals from containers with the inscription FND, or buys in the store. But you can carry with you a whole weapon warehouse. Each cannon received during the game can be pulled out of the bottomless add -on of the tribute at any time and install a quick access in a slot. You no longer need to drop a lot to the store every time he wanted to change his AK-47 to “Val”-all the good is always with us now.
The new mechanics of the "holster" looks very funny against this background. The very idea itself is good: I removed the weapon in neutral territory – and the military will not attack the hero if they are not angry. But at the same time, tribute continues to carry flamethrower, pistols, machine guns and grenade launchers of all stripes, sniper rifles, a thicket of CDs from trailers, an emi-gun and a set of throwing axes. Where he hides all this from the soldiers, in which such a dimensionless “holster” is a mystery. But oh well: enjoy the gameplay such conventions do not really interfere. When you arrange a stirring on a military base, juggling with guns almost like a dumbay, a lack of realism is the last thing that bothers you.
Moreover, in the camp camp, a third -person view is cut, and behind the hero you can see a hefty backpack. At first you might think that in it he is all machines and dragged … but no. Do not believe it, but this is another megapushka – "Supremo". With the help of this reactive satchel, you can fire enemies with a hail of missiles, destroying all living things in sight. And this is the only way, for the costs … On the workbench, the satchel can be redone for its tastes and goals, turning it into a portable medical station or a huge emi-installation. And if you want to squeeze Anton Castillo from the place of the chief sadist Yara, you can weave the "Supremo" into the Giant Furuet "Furioso", spewing the flame in all directions, and arrange a real dictator to the real dictator of a fiery.

On the same workbench where the "Supremo" is configured, you can customize the usual weapon: sights, silencers – everything is like in the fifth part. As we pass, we will come across things with amplifiers: for example, reservation masks, armored shirts or miracle bots, which themselves neutralize stretch marks. All the wardrobe found also remains with tribute forever, and at any moment (even at the height of the battle) you can change under the situation: to put fire gloves when they go to burn the tobacco plantations, or pull the explosive pants by seeing the grenade launcher.
And in order to completely smash the dictator’s army to the fluff, you can call to the help of a friend. The cooperative here, again, is the same as in the fifth part: the progress of history is preserved only by the host, but the invited player can drag the entire assembled loot to his campaign. The situation with virtual partners is much more interesting. In Far Cry 6, they are called "Amigos", and there are no people among them – only military animals. Here you can make friends with a crocodile in a T-shirt with a golden fang, like that of a gangst-rapper: you put him on a soldier, and he is picturesquely eating. And when the soul requests good, you can take the dog-disabled named Chorizo for a sortie. He is not at all aggressive: no matter how much I tried to bring him to the opponents, he did not even pull anyone by. But it distracts the attention of the enemies of Chorizo with a bang, because it is impossible to go past such a cute and not to stroke. And if you perform a couple of simple tests with the help of a dog, Chorizo can be used instead of a first-aid kit: you just need to scratch the “amigo” behind the ear, looking into his huge eyes, and the wounds will drag out by themselves.
Of the serious shortcomings, only the fact that in Far Cry 6 was still migrated by the odious RPG system of levels from Far Cry 6 New Dawn – only in a cut and even more absurd form. The protagonist now has no skills, but he has all the ranks and all opponents. A strip of life hangs above the heads of the soldiers, and your damage on them greatly depends on whether you are higher than their level or below. It looks very crooked when you, as expected, are laid from one headshot alone, but you cannot take others from the other. As one of the rebels explained, the whole thing is in the "best training". The head of such overterned comrades may not be covered: bullets fall into the forehead, and even a bloody hole looms, but an experienced soldier does not care. The brain is far from the main organ, we continue to fight!
Moreover, the main snag is not even that it looks delusional. If you take a bottomless string bag with weapons and centers for grants, you will have to accept the bulletproof foreheads of the soldiers. This question does not give rest: if there are no abilities and skills in the game, and all the strengthening are attached to clothes, then why did the ranking system need? It can be naively assumed that the levels are needed so as not to let the player on the final locations ahead of time. And yet, if we lower the listed controversial moments, the first adventures on the Yar turned out to be gorgeous. Yes, there was no revolution – but not every system needs a revolution. The series develops at its unhurried pace: cuts off the elements that have bored with everyone, adds new slaughter capabilities and even returns the chips by which someone probably missed. And although the final departure from realism will not come to everyone, the developers moved in this direction for a long time. In the end, in the fifth part, one could go on the attack with a trained bear. Well, now you have a healing cigar in your pocket, in your hands a gun that plants helicopters without damage, and in friends a whole gang. The main thing is that the crazy island where all this is possible does not bother players before the end of the plot.
